Pre-Treatment Instructions
Preparing for Your NuLook ExperienceAt NuLook Medical Aesthetics + Wellness, your safety and satisfaction are our top priorities. Proper preparation before your treatment helps minimize side effects, optimize results, and ensure the best possible experience.
General Pre-Treatment Guidelines (All Services)
- Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before your appointment.
- Refrain from blood-thinning medications and supplements (such as aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, vitamin E, fish oil, and ginkgo biloba) for 3–5 days prior, unless prescribed by your physician.
- Avoid tanning beds, excessive sun exposure, or active sunburn on the treatment area.
- If you are feeling unwell or have an active infection, please reschedule your appointment.
- Eat a light meal before your visit and stay well hydrated.
Injectables (Botox, Dermal Fillers, PRP)
- Discontinue use of retinoids, glycolic acids, or harsh exfoliants on the treatment area for 3 days before your appointment.
- Avoid dental work (including cleanings) for 2 weeks before and after filler treatments.
- If you are prone to cold sores and are having lip filler, contact us about starting antiviral medication beforehand.
- Come to your appointment with clean skin—no makeup, lotion, or sunscreen on the treatment area.
IV Therapy & Wellness Injections
- Drink plenty of water in the 24 hours prior to your treatment.
- Eat a balanced meal before your appointment to avoid lightheadedness.
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing with sleeves that can be rolled up easily.
Hair Restoration (PRP/Regenerative Treatments)
- Wash your hair the night before your appointment.
- Avoid applying styling products on the day of treatment.
- Refrain from coloring or chemically treating your hair for 3 days before your session.
Medical Weight Loss Consults
- Bring a list of current medications and supplements.
- Prepare recent lab work if available.
- Wear comfortable clothing for weigh-in and measurements.
Important Notes
- Please notify us of any recent procedures, surgeries, or new medications before your appointment.
- Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not undergo most injectable aesthetic treatments.
- Following these instructions will help ensure the safest and most effective treatment possible.
